Import a CSV file
A spreadsheet, seven columns, one import.
Export your tasks from any tool, keep seven columns, drop the file: Mishka groups rows by project and maps your statuses. Included from Solo.
What is imported
- "task" column (or name, title): required
- project, description, status, due date, priority, assignee columns
- Headers in French or English, case and accents ignored ("Échéance", "due_date", "deadline"…)
- Comma or semicolon separator, detected automatically
- Dates YYYY-MM-DD or DD/MM/YYYY, priorities low / normal / high / urgent (EN or FR)
- Assignee matched by email among your organization members
- Rows without a project grouped into a project named after the file
What is not
- Any other column (ignored, with a warning per column)
- Subtasks and hierarchy
- Tab or pipe separators
- Non-UTF-8 files: an Excel export in Windows-1252 corrupts accents, save as "CSV UTF-8"
- Files over 2 MB, more than 100 projects or 5,000 tasks
In four steps
- 1
Prepare seven columns
project, task, description, status, due date, priority, assignee. Start from the template or rename your headers.
- 2
Save as CSV UTF-8
From Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. Comma or semicolon, either works.
- 3
Drop the file and pick the client
Drag the file into the assistant, attach the projects to a client, adjust the status mapping.
- 4
Review and import
Skipped rows are listed with their number and the reason. You confirm, Mishka creates the projects and tasks.

Frequently asked questions
My file comes from Excel in French, will it work?
Semicolons and DD/MM/YYYY dates are accepted. Mind the encoding: pick "CSV UTF-8" when saving, otherwise accents arrive corrupted.
Which status values are recognized?
All of them: each distinct value in your status column is listed and matched to a Mishka status (to do, in progress, completed, paused, blocked). Suggestions are pre-filled, you adjust before importing.
What happens to attachments and comments?
They are not imported, whatever the source. The assistant brings over projects and tasks (name, description, status, due date, priority, assignee) and appends a link to the original item at the end of the description: you can open the source card, task or page in one click as long as the source tool stays open.
Can I re-run or undo an import?
An import cannot be undone: the projects and tasks it created are deleted like any other project. Re-running it on the same data creates duplicates; the assistant warns you when these data have already been imported, the decision is yours.
Which plan includes the import?
From the Solo plan, at no extra cost. Your plan's client and project limits apply: the assistant tells you before creating anything.
